The Sully Project presents the best exploration target of Sullivan Size that I have seen in my career.

In operation for about 100 years, the Sullivan Mine of Teck Resources was one of the world’s largest SEDEX silver, lead, zinc deposits. Over its life Sullivan produced 17 million tonnes of lead and zinc and 337 million ounces of silver from 150 million tonnes of feed. At current prices value of production was US $49 Billion.

SULLIVAN ZINC MINE (SEDEX)

The sedimentary rocks that host Sullivan and that are present at Sully were deposited in different parts, and represent different environments of the same basin. The same stratigraphic level that Sullivan was deposited at appears to coincide with the East gravity anomaly at Sully. A subtle lead-zinc soil anomaly possibly reflects leakage up faults and dispersion through thick till and alluvium from an entirely buried deposit.

WITH GEOLOGICAL FEATURES THAT POINT TO A MASSIVE SEDEX DEPOSIT

A Cominco airborne geophysical survey identified two N-S trending magnetic anomalies underground at Sully. These are up to 3 km long, about 1 km apart and are near-coincident with the gravity anomalies.

AERO-MAG & GRAVITY RESULTS SHOW TWO DISTINCT MASSES

Initial surveying indicated a shallow mass that was missed by drilling in 2004. Subsequent work indicated the target was deep. In 2014 downhole temperature and magnetic field readings indicate the target may have been missed by 100m.

Geochemical data shows anomalous Zn and Pb in soil, possibly leakage on structures related to the East mass.

PROXIMITY ZONE

Target within 100m of drill. Indicated by downhole temperature. Surface gravity and downhole magnetic X, Y, Z fields.

New gravity data confirm and better define the location of a large East mass. Kootenay Zinc Corp. intends to undertake a drilling program to target this east mass. Stay up to date on ZNK to have the results delivered to your inbox the moment they become available.

SULLIVAN MINE

Located only 30km away from the legendary Sullivan mine, ZNK's Sully project and the Sullivan Mine share some geological features.

THE SULLY PROJECT: LEGENDARY SITE, NEW OPPORTUNITY

WITH GEOLOGY THAT POINTS TO A SEDEX-SIZED DEPOSIT

The ZNK Sully project exhibits similar time horizons, soil chemistry, and strata as the world class Sullivan deposit. Strata and basin sediment point to a similar origin for both deposits.

AERO-MAG RESULTS SHOW TWO DISTINCT MASSES

A Cominco airborne gravity mapping survey identified two N-S trending anomalies underground at the Sully site. These are up to 3 km long, about 1 km apart and are coincident with the gravity anomalies shown at the Sullivan Mine.

DRILLING TO DATE: NEAR MISS

Initial surveying indicated a shallow mass which was missed by drilling attempts. Downhole temperature and magnetic field readings indicate a that the target may have been missed by 100m. Geochemical data shows anomalous Zn and Pb in soil, cause may be leakage on structures related to the East mass.
